There once was a girl who read a book about a magic red ladder. For years she believed it was real. Her name was Amanda, and she knew that it was real. She had flipped coins trying to convince herself that it was fake. One day she had an idea. “What if I made a red ladder? Then the story would be true”. For weeks she sat on her pavement and worked on the ladder. Once she finished it she was old and fragile. She then had a sinking feeling that she would never be able to use the ladder. So, she handed it down to her family, for generations.
